ALDRICH, ROBERTA. (ROBIN)
Robin lives in Rathdrum,
Idaho, with husband, Jerry Bass and they live at 20813 N. Circle Road
83858. Robin is retired from nursing;
her husband is in property management. They have a son and a daughter and Robin
says she has “everything” to brag about them. She says they usually golf on
weekends and is looking forward to a healthy retirement for herself and
Jerry. She says current students should
“Enjoy every day with your friends.”
ANDERSON, DAVID W.
David died of cancer
August 18, 1994, at age 52.
ANDERSON, DARLENE K.
We still haven’t heard
from Darlene but she is still married to Armour Armstrong and is living in
Chattaroy (P.O. Box 404, 99003).
ANDERSON, DARLENE M.
Darlene Fisher was living
at 3115 Sheridan Ave. in Butte, Montana 59701, last we heard.
Darlene is Mrs. Mitchell
Cowdery; her husband, Robert, is a retired financial planner. They live at 1804
E. Garden in Spokane, 99208. She is an
Administrative Secretary and is studying on the weekends for a Bachelor’s
degree next year! She and Robert each have three children and a total of 15
grandchildren between them! Darlene has
lived in Spokane, Calif., Wash. D.C., and in Okinawa.
A retired high school
English teacher, Gary and his wife, Rita, live in Spokane at 48 West 33rd,
99203. He said their two kids have
never borrowed a dime from them (!), suggests students shouldn’t “even THINK
about smoking!” and is working toward complete recovery from double bypass
surgery. They’re expecting their first grandchild this month!
ANDERSON, RONALD Q.
Ron’s last address was in
Woodinville, Washington.
ANDERSON, SHARON L.
Sharon Lynn died of cancer
on Feb. 23, 1999, at age 56; she had been married to Merv Erdman for 36 years
and was known as the “Deer Park Ice Cream Lady”.
Lloyd is retired from the
retail grocery business and lives at 1770 E. Olympic, 99207. He’s single now, has two children and four
grandchildren whom he describes as “great!”. He says he lives day by day,and
“When I feel like working I lie down until the feeling passes.”
Listed as living in
Chattaroy, Armour didn’t respond to our questionnaire but is still married to
Darlene K. Anderson (Rogers’ 60).
We’ve lost track of Jim
but know he was from Kettle Falls and lived in Quadra Island, British Columbia
some time ago??
Marjorie was in Saudi
Arabia ten years ago but is now a “housewife”, and married to Kevin Smith (from
Arizona), who’s in the Navy. They live
in the San Diego area at 145 River Rock Ct., Santee, CA 92071 (Dick Short lives
in Santee too!) She has 4 children and
7 granddaughters (!) and tries to “keep (her) husband happy” on weekends. She
advises students to live by the Golden Rule.
Ron lives in the Spokane
Valley but he never responded to us.
BAIR, TERRY M.
There’s been no response from Terry since 1980 but he still lives in Spokane at the same address,a t 5104 N. Madison 99205.
Christine lives in Lander,
Wyoming, and was married to K.E. Moreland but we haven’t heard from her for
years.
BALDWIN, JANICE KAYE
Now Mrs. Janice Kelsey and
living in Spokane, Janice used to work at Sacred Heart Hospital (and helped on
the reunion committee last time!).
However, we haven’t heard from her this time??
Karen has been in Alaska
since graduation--no wonder her favorite song from high school is, “Itsy,
Bitsy, Teeny Weeny, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”!!
She is currently a teacher in Fairbanks and married to Warren Tanner, a
retired trooper commander. Their
address is: P.O. Box 58468, Fairbanks, AK 99711. They have a total of nine
children, hers, his, and two they adopted from Russia! On weekends, Karen works on computers,
fishes, enjoys the wildlife, and their motorhome.
BARBOUR, DEANNA C.
Twenty years ago Deanna
was living in Usk, Washington, and was married to Clarence Young. We haven’t heard from her since.
BARNETT, RICHARD L.
Richard used to live in
Veradale and work at Kaiser’s in Trentwood, but we haven’t heard from him in a
long time??????
Last we heard Sarah’s
married name was DeNary’s and she was living at 1114 E. Wellesley Ave. in
Spokane, 99207.
BARTHOLOMAE, FRED J.
Fred never answers the
reunion inquiries but usually comes. We
know he lives in Spokane, hangs out at the Eagles, and golfs.
BASS, ROBERT P.
We haven’t heard from Bob
for years but he used to live north of Spokane, married with one child, and was
in the carpet business.
BATTIN, YVONNE L.
Yvonne is an antique
dealer/estate liquidator and is married to Joe Thompson, retired. They live at
2510 N. Cincinnati in Spokane (99207), have four kids and four grandkids; she
describes them all as “great”. On
weekends Yvonne likes to work, go to their cabin, or play bingo.
We haven’t heard from
David since graduation but we heard he was in Kodiak, Alaska, running a cement
plant in 1980 and now living in Topock, Arizona?????
BECK, CAROL A.
Last we heard, Carol was
living in Cheney with her husband, Walt Hartman, a professor there.
We’ve never heard anything
about Dennis.
BENNETT, LARRY A.
Larry was on our “lost”
list but we hear he’s in Spokane now.
Ron is living in Spokane
but we haven’t heard from him.
BENNETT, SHARON V.
Still working as a nurse,
Sharon lives in Walla Walla at 207 Sheridan Road (99362) with her spouse, Larry
Nienhueser, a wheat ranch manager from that area. Both their girls are EWU graduates and live in Spokane. Sharon says she likes to “play” on the
weekends.
BENZEL, DARYL L.
From Texas (!), Daryl
writes that he’s a sales supervisor for Hostess Cake, is married to Anita, a
dental assistant, and they live at 922 Willow Oak, Nacogdoches, TX 75964. He went to barber school years ago, probably
to cut the hair of their 7 children (!) and 13 grand-children, he says they are
“all good kids”. Daryl collects antique
cast iron cookware on weekends and has set “retirement” as his goal.
BERGEN, DEANA RAE
We didn’t hear from her,
but are guessing Deana’s still married to Everett Burchett and lives in north
Spokane, as listed by “Ma Bell”.
Bob has been working for
the airlines for most of these years and was in Memphis with Northwest Airlines
ten years ago; now we hear he’s in Bartlett, Tennessee?
BESTER, LES V.
Les is single and lives at
2611 N. Howard St., Spokane 99205.
BINGHAM, BARRY P.
We can write to Barry and
his wife, Claudia, at P.O. Box 854, Connell, WA 99326. He’s now a construction electrician and
proud of being a Sea Bee in the Navy Reserve; she’s worked for the US Census. They have 3 children and 5
grandchildren. He says he works in the
yard, goes to church on the weekends, and looks forward to retirement!
BIRGE, JIM R.
Jim used to live in
Spokane, was married and had a daughter but who knows what he’s doing now--he’s
“missing”!
BLANGERES, PATRICIA L.
Patti didn’t respond to our questionnaire but we have reasons to believe she works for the school district, lives in the valley, and is still married to Ron Syler, owner of Syler’s Auto Center, on No. Division.
BLIESNER,
JACKIE J.
A registered nurse, Jackie
is married to Art Blum, a radio engineer in sales and lives with him at 2712 W.
Imnaha, in Kennewick, WA 99336. They
have two girls, a CPA and a Lutheran minister, and are grandparents of two
boys. Jackie says she quilts, gardens,
reads and takes trips on weekends and would advise a current student to “enjoy
all aspects of high school and explore many varied courses”. She did.
Dennis lives in Gresham,
Oregon but didn’t respond to us.
“Art” is the chief engineer for KONA Radio in Kennewick, who’s been married to co-classmate, Jackie (Bliesner), all these years. He says electronics was the most important class he took at Rogers; he goes to meetings, putters around the house & “plays” on the computer on weekends. His favorite song: “It’s My Party; I’ll Cry If I Want To”.
BOARDMAN, DANIEL R.
Dan’s apparently has lived
in Monrovia, California for years but doesn’t respond to our mailings so we
can’t confirm anything.
BODVIN, RONALD N.
Ron died January 21, 1991
at the age of 48.
Lynda Collier died of
cancer in 1979 at the age of 37.
BORDWELL, PHYLLIS E.
A “semi-retired teacher”,
Phyllis is married to Russ Roberts and lives at 3622 Kenwanda Dr., in
Snohomish, WA 98296. They both taught in Poland! They have 3 children (like mom, all are teachers and are “super
compassionate and responsible people”), and are expecting their fourth
grandchild. Phyllis composes music and
spends weekends with family, her garden, and with seniors’ activities at church.
BOWERS, BERNICE, J.
Ten years ago Bernice was
Mrs. James Adams and working on her master’s degree in Franklin, Mass., but we
haven’t heard from her.
BRAKE, MAVIS C.
Mavis Cobb died of cancer
in Nov.,1980, at the age of 38.
BRETTHAUER,
BILLIE S.
A retired assembly
engineer, Billie Leonard lives with her partner, Norm Albrecht, at 607 S.
Carnahan, Spokane 99212. She has one
son and one grandson. Billie likes to travel, rides her motorcycle on weekends
and says she thinks it’s important to“believe in yourself”.
BROWN, FRED M.
Fred has been teaching in
the Seattle area for years but didn’t respond to our mailing this time so we
don’t know what he’s doing now. His address is listed in Bellingham.
Living here in Spokane,
Harold hasn’t returned a questionnaire in 30 years so we’re not sure what he’s
up to.
BROWN, HERB L.
The owner of Wandermere
Golf Course, Herb is still married to Sandra and lives at 13814 Wandermere Road
in Spokane 99208. He has three children
and three granddaughters. He didn’t
volunteer much about his interests on the questionnaire but we bet he golfs!
Joanne and her husband,
Larry Robison, are both retired and living in California at 5293 Gilchrist Rd.,
Sebastopol, 95472. She’s looking forward
to living a long, healthy life. Joanne
says ‘Advanced Algebra from Mr. Raymond’ was the most important class she took
at Rogers but also claims, “That’ll Be The Day” was her favorite song???
BROWN, LAWRENCE E.
Larry hasn’t responded to
our mailings since 1970 but was living in Wellpinit and fishing, last we heard!
BROWN, LORRAINE E.
Planning to move back to
the Spokane area, Lorraine and her husband, Paul Ader (Rogers ‘58) have been
married for 40 years now! They are both
at least semi-retired and currently live at 2445 N. Busby Rd., Oak Harbor, WA
98277. They have 2 children and 3
grand-children—two great teen-age students and a little, adopted one. Lorraine likes traveling in their motorhome,
garage sales and decorative painting.
BUCKLES, LARRY M.
Larry has moved around
over the years, to California, to Gig Harbor and to Kennewick. Actually, we don’t know where he is now.
Forrest lives in Spokane
but no one’s heard from him.
We’ve haven’t heard from
Marcella for over 30 years but last we knew, she was living in Oakland, Calif.,
as Mrs. Edward James.
Larry’s “missing” but
remember, he was from Louisiana.
Ellen used to go by the
name of “Shearer” and lived in Spokane.

After not hearing from her
for years, Marilyn tells us she is now Marilyn Attebery and she lives in
Spokane at 3914 S. Moffitt, 99206. Her
partner’s name is Darrell, and he’s an assembler. She’s a nurse’s aide, has five children and eleven grandchildren;
she says they’re “the best”!
CAHILL, PATRICIA M.
Pat used to be married to
Dan Kraut and lived in Idaho some-
where--in Troy, then in Hayden Lake, and now in Moscow??
CANTER, JERRY R.
Jerry says he’s either at
505 E. Shiloh Hills Dr., Spokane 99208, or at 722 E. Ballard Rd., Colbert,
WA 98005, depending. His wife is Lois; they have 4 children and 8
grandchildren, all of them “very special”.
Jerry works as a sales manager and usually spends “quality time” with
his family on weekends, reaching for a goal “to serve the Lord”. His advice to students: “set long &
short term goals; don’t lose your dreams”.
CARINO, NICHOLAS O.
Nick is on our “cannot
locate” list.
CARMACK, PEGGY J.
Ten years ago Peggy was
working for the City of Spokane, “venturing” in a number of areas, and married
to Leon Buckles. Now we can’t connect
with her. Anyone???
CARR, MARY E.
We haven’t been able to
locate Mary since graduation.
CARTWRIGHT, ROBERT G.
Employed as a “training
lead”, Bob and his wife, Frances, an office manager, live at 9201 76th St., SW,
Lakewood, WA 98498. They have four
children and five grandchildren, all “great kids”. Bob spent 21+ years as an Army officer and spent time in Australia
and Germany in addition to other cities.
His goal is to be “debt free and enjoy life”.
CHAMBERS, RUTH A.
Ruth Harmes lives in
Cheney but she didn’t answer our mail.
A director in sales and
marketing, Dick and his wife, Sylvia, a MFC counselor/psychotherapist, live at
33727 Cherry St., Wildomar, CA 92595.
They have three children, who are described as “great kids, hard
workers”. On weekends, Dick says he
rests, gardens, and teaches teen religion; his goal is “security and financial
independence”.
Reportedly living in
Billings, Montana, we’ve haven’t heard from Terry.
COBLE, GLORIA D.
A former teacher, Gloria
now calls herself a “housewife” to Pat Taylor, a fellow classmate and field
service manager. They live at 1812 4th Place NE, in Auburn, WA 98002, and have
two children—one is teaching with a master’s and the other is still in
college. Gloria wants to live to be 100
or more, and would advise a current student to study, participate in school
activities, and get an education beyond high school.
Loralei Willman died from
cancer Dec. 2, ‘91 at the age of 49.
COGLEY, DAVID R.
“Dr.” David has a Ph.D. in
chemistry and has worked as a environmental scientist but listed band as the
most important class he took at Rogers! He and his wife, Susan, from Boston,
live at 53 Cedar Creek Road, Sudbury, Mass. 01776; they have three children and
four grandchildren. David’s current
goals are to continue learning and appreciating those around him. On weekends he studies Oracle RDBMS (?) and
kanji (?), works around the house, and enjoys life.
COLLINS, STEPHEN M.
Steve didn’t answer our
mailings but used to be married with two kids; he was last known to be living
in Sumner, Washington.
CONBOY, WANDA M.
We haven’t heard from
Wanda in a long time but she has three children, was married to Jim Starr, and
is living in Scottsdale, AZ.
No word from Paul in 30
years but he is living in Spokane at 3318 N. Dale Road, Spokane 99206.
CONNER, DALE O.
Dale didn’t write back
this time but he did call to say he wouldn’t be able to join us at the reunion
this year because he’d planned a fishing trip to Alaska. In the meantime, we know that they have a
new home in Spokane, out near Pattison’s Rollercade and he’s still alive and
well.
After reportedly being
married to Denny Bergin and living at the same address in Spokane for years,
we’ve lost touch with Pat.
We haven’t heard from
Lonnie since graduation but we heard he used to live in Valerda, California.
COOK, RICHARD E.
We haven’t heard from Dick
but hear that he lives at 1314 E. Queen, 99207 and works at the Safeway store
in Hillyard.
COON, GARY C.
Gary married Carol
Thompson (Rogers ‘60) and they lived in Snohomish, Wash. with their three
children last we heard.
COOPER, NORMAN A.
Norm lives in Portland,
Oregon; Wyatt Newman taught his girls in high school and went to one’s wedding
where he saw Norm. His wife died several years ago of cancer and he just isn’t
up to being around lots of people.
COPELAND, SHARON L.
Now living in Snohomish,
WA 98296, at 13724 48th Dr., SE, Sharon still paints on porcelain and tile and
says art is the most important class she took at Rogers. She is married to Harold Severson; they have
three children and 2 grandchildren, “all healthy and independent”. Her goal is to “live to be 100 and have a
good time along the way!”
CRAMPTON, KENNETH R.
Ken died at the age of 45
of a heart attack in 1987.
Ron never answers our
inquiries but he lives in Veradale, WA.
Betty was last known to be
married to Fred Webb and to live in Spokane but we haven’t heard from her for a
long time.
We didn’t hear back from
Sid this time but we know he’s married, has children, is retired, and living in
Spokane.
CULHANE, GENE D.
Gene has never responded
to us but we’ve been mailing to him at 139 w. Gray Court, in Spokane (99205).
CULHANE, GERALD D.
Gerry died December 6,
1996 at the age of 56.
Last known to be married
to a Forsman, we’ve never been in touch with her.
CUNNINGHAM, LINDA K.
Linda Taskey is living at
13310 E. Mission #17, in Spokane, 99216, and calls herself “semi retired”. She has 3 children and 6 grandchildren and says she works and
attends church on weekends.

former classmate, Donna Webster; they have two children and live in Spokane at
7017 N. Elgin St. (99208).
DAVEY, SHEILA A.
Sheila calls herself “semi
retired”, as is her husband, Ron Mead (Rogers ‘60). They live at 28608 N. Milan, Chattaroy, WA 99003, and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren;
Sheila describes them all as “wonderful”--and says she and Ron “have been
greatly blessed”! They’re looking
froward to traveling and retiring.
Last we heard, Peggy was
married to a Johnson and she lived in Spokane but we don’t have a current
address.
DAWSON, ROBERT J.
No word from Bob but he
used to be a mechanical contractor, lived in Spokane, and was married with five
children.
Sounds like we’ve never
heard from Betty, aka Mrs. William Erickson, but she is reportedly living in
Spokane.
DELEON, DELANO D.
“Del” is a cabinetmaker
and a truck driver and lives at 1728 E. Rowan, Spokane, 99207, with his wife,
Jacklyn, a bookkeeper. They have 4
children and 6 grandchildren. On weekends
he works and helps neighbors with projects or camps--he’s also looking for a
new truck! As with other hard workers,
Del’s goal is retirement!
Jim’s address is the same
it’s been for 30 years, E. 2905 Rich in Spokane, but he never lets us know what
he’s doing.
No information was
received from Bill, but he’s apparently single now and living in Post Falls,
Idaho.
DENMAN, DENINE A.
Denine didn’t answer our
inquiries but last we heard she was married to Eugene Blystone and they were
living in Spokane.
Ten years ago Donna
Kendall was living in Vallejo, California, but she’s back in town and lives at
2531 W. Decatur Ave. 99205 now.
DIETRICH, CAROL L.
Honoring business classes
as important at Rogers, Carol was a secretary and now a teacher (for 30 years!)
in Twin Falls, Idaho. She lives at 3686
Sherman there with her husband, Stuart Bearup, a retired English professor.
They have two children and four grandchildren, “all smart and good looking”,
and her goal is for them: “to be healthy and happy”. In addition, Carol considers herself blessed to have both her
parents still with her.
DILLON, MICHELE A.
Michele
didn’t provide much information to us but she did write back and tell us she’s
working as a bookkeeper and is married to Jerry Childers, a manager for Bell
South. They have 2 children and one
3-year old granddaughter, “cute and smart”.
Her address is 34 Dewridge Ct., in Spartanburg, SC 29301.
DINSMORE, GARY A.
Gary
is a chemical engineer and lives in Scappoose, Oregon, with his wife, Judith,
an interior designer. They have two
children and three grandchildren; their address is 33306 Bonneville Dr., 97056.
Gary likes to cruise on a tandem bicycle on weekends and would share the wisdom
that, “Life happens. Enjoy the ride
because life is a journey--not a destination.”
We haven’t heard from
Sharon but learned that she is Mrs. LaPlant and lives at 1221 Marshall Lake, in
Newport, WA 99156.
Carol is a music teacher
and lives in Spokane with her husband, John P. Kowzan, retired. Their address
is10808 N. College Pl. Dr., 99218 and they have two children. She says band was the most important class
she took and she wants to keep playing clarinet into her retirement.
DOOLITTLE, KATHLEEN M.
Kathie calls herself a
“domestic engineer” and lives with her husband, Earl Bise, at 602 Spruce, in
Coulee Dam,WA 99116, where they settled after living “all over, following
construction of mostly dams”. They have three children and five grandchildren,
her “favorite people”. On weekends, Kathie sews and enjoys making quilts, which
she describes as an “obsession”.
DOSSETT, ALLYN W.
A printer, Allyn is single
and lives at 6611 Lakewood Drive #41, in Tacoma, WA 98467. He has one child,
30 years old.
DRAKE, JIM H.
Jim is single and retired now af
