Pirate Cougar Gals who were Freshwomen in 1961 and Sophomores in 1962:
Phyllis Bordwell: She lived in Ferry Women's Dormitory, page 346 in the Chinook Yearbook:, was in the Chinook on page 267 for being on the Senators and Representatives AWS Committees and she was on the Independent Board of Representatives on page 278.
Deanna Rausch: Coman Hall Dorm, page 334: and she is on page 234 for being in a photo of the WSU Choir, 285 for the Sophomore Council, and Sharon Weis is on it too, and on the photo.
Gale Phillips is only in the Chinook because she is photoed on page 100 for being in the Mu Phi-Phi Mu, The main activity of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia men's music honorary, and one third of the group is women in this men's group organization. Gale must have been a freshwoman because she was not in the 61 Yearbook but maybe she did not live in a campus building, either.
THESE WOMEN WERE NOT in the Chinook so they may not have been a student that year or lived on campus or belonged to any group: CARLENE KING, NANCY OSTBY, BARBARA HEGMAN. They had been in the 61 Freshman year Chinook.
